Job summary

Greystar in Baltimore, MD is seeking a maintenance technician to keep the property's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas in top condition. You will diagnose issues from resident requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure adherence to policies and codes.

The role includes making-ready vacant units, managing supplies, coordinating vendors, and documenting work orders. It requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and may involve occasional travel to support

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from resident service requests and perform repairs following safety standards and code requirements
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-in inspections and coordinating vendors
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and notify supervisor about re-ordering needs
• Document service requests accurately to support tracking and reporting
• Assist in groundskeeping, cleaning, painting, and general maintenance tasks as needed
• Support cost-saving maintenance by repairing rather than replacing when appropriate
• Attend safety trainings and report incidents promptly
• Inspect contractor work to ensure quality and compliance with scope
• Conduct routine property inspections and communicate safety concerns to management
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and report violations
