Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure physical aspects of buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. Responsibilities include completing work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and timely documentation.

Role requires EPA refrigerant certifications or equivalents and a valid driver's license for property access.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the defect and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting work
• Follows procedures to access materials from the maintenance department, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs
• Completes documentation and paperwork so service requests are documented and tracked
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts and using materials and tools efficiently
• Complies with safety and risk-management policies, attends safety meetings, and reports accidents promptly
• May inspect work by contractors to verify quality and scope
• Assists in property inspections to identify safety and landscape needs and communicates concerns to management
• Incumbents must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
