Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure buildings, grounds, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and functional standards. You will handle work orders, inspect & repair issues, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units while coordinating with vendors and monitoring inventory.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in property maintenance, EPA refrigerant certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related training may be required.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license.
• Proactive, self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects, perform repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, coordinate vendors and schedules.
• Track inventory and re-order materials as needed; follow purchasing procedures.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Assist in grounds/amenities maintenance and basic cleaning and painting.
• Support cost-control by fixing parts when possible and using supplies efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings and follow OSHA requirements; report incidents promptly.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope.
• Participate in routine property inspections and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
