Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to ensure building systems meet safety and quality standards. You will diagnose defects, perform preventative maintenance, and complete the make-ready process for vacant units, while managing materials and documenting work orders.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license where applicable, along with adherence to safety policies and local regulations. A comprehensive benefits package is provided to onsite staff.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• State and local certifications as required for all Service Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance on the property.
• Complete the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Track materials, supplies, and tools, returning unused items and notifying supervisors when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking and reporting.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control by repairing components rather than replacing parts when feasible.
