Job summary

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician I to ensure the upkeep of a new housing community. This role involves maintenance tasks including repairs, unit turnovers, and property inspections, aimed at fostering a supportive environment for low-income individuals and those with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have building maintenance knowledge, a high school diploma, and preferably experience in a related field along with a valid WA driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience or related field experience.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical condition of the property.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Inspect units and common areas.
• Perform minor repairs including electrical and plumbing work.
• Custodial work in community rooms and common areas.

Skills

Building maintenance knowledge

Basic technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)

Self-motivated

Ability to follow written instructions

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
