Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain apartment properties with a focus on safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction. The role includes a range of repair tasks, preventative maintenance, and on-call responsibilities at properties in the area.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least one year in property management or related field, and strong customer service skills. A valid driver’s license and ability to read English are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Carry out carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, door/lock repair, tile repair.
• Perform proactive maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, and elevator maintenance.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with emergencies (snow, fires, floods) and respond to maintenance issues promptly.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership about issues and actions taken.
• Promote safety and risk management per local, state, and company rules.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance with appropriate response times.
• Maintain professional demeanor and appearance; support the risk management program.
