Job summary

Greystar is seeking a property maintenance technician to ensure buildings, grounds, and common areas meet safety and appearance standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete the make-ready process for vacant units while coordinating with vendors as needed.

The role requires EPA refrigerant recycling certifications, state/local compliance, and a valid driver’s license. You must be able to perform physical tasks and work a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance to meet safety and code standards.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Manages materials and tools inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation for service requests to ensure tracking and accountability.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and basic painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
