Job summary

Sun Communities seeks Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities in Florida. You will handle home and facilities repairs, keep grounds clean, operate tools, and deliver reliable service to residents daily.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of maintenance experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work an on-call schedule. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in maintenance experience in apartments or manufactured housing preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience (preferred) if applicable.
• Experience with general maintenance techniques and repair work preferred.
• Ability to endure outdoor working conditions and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep properties in good condition.
• Conduct home/building maintenance repairs and upkeep of grounds, facilities, streets, and equipment.
• Inspect irrigation, water systems, and meters; repair as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and ensure curb appeal is met.
• Operate hand tools, power equipment, and small machinery safely.
