Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventative maintenance across its communities. You will handle home repairs, groundskeeping, and utility-related tasks while delivering excellent resident service. The role requires basic computer use, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

On-call work and teamwork are essential. Responsibilities include snow removal where applicable, inspecting facilities, and assisting with contractor supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in apartments/manufactured housing preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred if applicable.
• General maintenance knowledge and repair skills preferred.
• Outdoor work with varying temperatures possible.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across communities.
• Carry out home/building repairs and upkeep of grounds, streets, and utilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of properties.
• Operate basic hand tools, power equipment, and small machinery safely.
• Assist manager with supervision of contractors and move-in/move-out spots.
• Inspect recreational areas and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager promptly.
• Participate in on-call schedule as required.
