Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities. You will handle home/building repairs, grounds upkeep, and ensure safety and curb appeal while delivering excellent resident service.

The role involves outdoor work, operating hand tools and equipment, and coordinating with contractors as needed. A valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and teamwork are required/preferred for success and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months maintenance experience preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred (where applicable).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Valid driver's license required and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Basic computer proficiency for email and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to home/building systems.
• Keep common areas, grounds and facilities clean and safe.
• Complete minor repairs and assist with move-in/move-out spotting.
• Inspect irrigation, water meters, and well/sewer systems as applicable.
• Operate and maintain equipment, tools and vehicles safely.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors and yard/work crews.
• Maintain curb appeal and ensure Sun standards are met.
• Respond to resident needs with professional customer service.
