Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds and amenities safe and functional. You will diagnose defects, complete make-ready tasks for new residents, manage inventory and document work orders with accuracy, while supporting cost‑control and safety programs.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, safety compliance, and occasional travel to assist other properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance or property management is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders for service requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing and conducts pre-move inspections with punch lists.
• Tracks materials, inventories, and notifies supervisors when re-ordering is needed.
• Maintains documentation of tasks and ensures safety and code compliance.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas and amenities.
