Job summary

UCHI United Church Homes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance position for Athena Gardens. The role covers maintaining all areas of the property and its surroundings, completing work orders, troubleshooting appliances, and coordinating with the Housing Manager to prepare units for new residents.

The position requires multi-trade skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping and carpentry, with a focus on safety and resident service. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an attractive community: sidewalks, entrances, parking lot, lawns, and surrounding areas.
• Perform regular building maintenance: cleaning and upkeep of lobby, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Complete work orders from the Housing Manager and coordinate with staff for unit readiness.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors/contractors for large maintenance projects.
• On-call 24/7 for emergencies; assist with training of maintenance staff.
