Job summary

United Church Homes, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance position at Athena Gardens in Athens, GA. The role maintains all areas of the property and surroundings, completes work orders from residents via the Housing Manager, and troubleshoots appliances in resident units to keep systems in good working order.

You will coordinate with office staff to prepare vacant units for new residents, perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance, and respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year related maintenance experience desirable.
• Valid driver’s license if travel between locations is required.
• Technical training or maintenance certifications helpful.
• Must obtain/maintain mandatory state and federal requirements and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all areas of the property and surroundings in a professional manner.
• Complete work orders as requested by residents through the Housing Manager.
• Troubleshoot all appliances throughout the property and resident units.
• Coordinate with the office staff to prepare units for new residents.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs as directed.
• On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
