Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to lead a maintenance team and perform hands-on tasks across apartment communities. The role blends hands-on repair work with strong customer service to ensure resident satisfaction and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates will have HVAC certifications, Yardi experience, and 1–2 years in apartment maintenance. A valid driver’s license and own tools are required, with on-site work across metro areas expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HVAC I & II, EPA certifications and CPO required/preferred.
• Yardi software experience preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years in apartment maintenance.
• Driver's license and basic hand/tools own.
• Ability to read service requests and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading maintenance team.
• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Participate in Risk Management and Safety Programs.
