Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director who blends hands-on maintenance with strong leadership to guide a maintenance team and uphold service standards for residents.

You will prepare make-ready apartments, handle service requests, manage inventory, and participate in preventative maintenance and safety programs while collaborating with residents, vendors, and leadership to ensure reliable, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• EPA, HVAC I & II, CPO and local certifications are required.
• 1–2 years in apartment maintenance or related trade with knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC is required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license with insurance.
• Able to read service requests and communicate in English; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading maintenance team and coordinating daily activities.
• Prepare make-ready apartments for residents.
• Complete service requests and track status.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance and outdoor work.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management Program and Safety Programs.
