Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to lead a maintenance team while performing hands‑on tasks. You will prepare make‑ready apartments, complete service requests, and manage inventory and shop operations across communities.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in apartment maintenance, EPA/HVAC certs, Yardi experience, and a valid driver’s license. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Yardi software experience is preferred.
• EPA, HVAC I & II, CPO certifications are required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of full‑time apartment maintenance experience in basic trades (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Able to read service requests and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading maintenance team.
• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Participate in preventive maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and team members.
• Participate in risk management and safety programs.
