Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for Essex House in Takoma Park, MD.

You will lead a maintenance team, oversee repairs, renovations, turnovers and preventive maintenance to provide a safe, clean, appealing living environment for residents and a productive workplace for staff. The role requires at least three years in maintenance with supervisory experience, strong carpentry/plumbing/electrical/HVAC skills, EPA 608 certification or ability to obtain within 90

Qualifications

• Minimum three years as a maintenance technician or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Extensive knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification - Type II or Universal (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lead, direct and motivate others to excel.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for property maintenance and appearance.
• Ensure timely, high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Oversee maintenance staff scheduling, training and performance.
• Manage apartment turnovers, repairs, renovations and cleaning.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and proper waste disposal across the property.
• Monitor grounds and landscaping; perform snow removal as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to budget planning and oversee service contracts.
