Job summary

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair interior and exterior community facilities. You will diagnose issues from resident requests, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for vacant units to ensure high-quality, market-ready homes.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory management, and coordinating with vendors while upholding Greystar standards for safety and appearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled with hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for resident interaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects from resident requests and perform repairs per safety standards and codes.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work to ensure policy compliance and quality.
• Monitor contractors and vendors to confirm work meets specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist budget planning with the Community Manager.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in procedures.
• Support cost control by repairing rather than replacing where feasible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA and other requirements are followed.
• Provide responsive customer service to residents and staff with professionalism.
