Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring that building exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, inventory control, and maintaining and documenting tasks.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certification and a valid driver's license; on-site property work with potential travel and flexible hours is

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor about re-orders.
• Completes documentation to properly document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
