Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to ensure community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and function. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and support make-ready processes for leased units.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents, team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work to ensure adherence to policies and quality standards.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and coordinate with the Community Manager on supplies and budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and contribute to capital projects budgeting.
• Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety laws.
