Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to oversee and perform technical work ensuring building exteriors, grounds, and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle resident requests, manage make-ready tasks, and supervise vendors to uphold quality across the community.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, relevant maintenance experience, tool proficiency, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Own hand tools and safe tool handling.
• Ability to diagnose defects and follow safety codes.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with basic math for financial and administrative tasks.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests and routine maintenance per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, and scheduling vendors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to meet Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of parts and assist with budget planning for repairs and projects.
• Lead monthly safety meetings and ensure MSDS and OSHA compliance.
• Support cost-control by prioritizing repair over replacement where feasible.
