Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of make-ready tasks for vacant units, while maintaining inventory and supporting budget goals. Candidates should have HVAC knowledge, tool proficiency, and strong service orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in property maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read plans and instructions; follow safety policies and building codes.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment.
• Strong customer service mindset and effective communication with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and diagnose issues in resident units and common areas.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendor work when needed.
• Develop and maintain cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, and interiors.
• Inspect work performed by technicians and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials and assist with budget planning.
• Participate in monthly preventive maintenance tasks and safety meetings.
