Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community’s buildings, grounds, and amenities clean, safe, and functional. You will diagnose resident requests, perform repairs, and help keep the property in top condition.

You will manage make-ready tasks for vacant units, conduct inspections, and support preventative maintenance and budgeting efforts. Strong customer service, tool proficiency, and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication with residents and team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and answer questions.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills to work with numbers in administrative and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move‑out inspections and scheduling.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of the grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar standards.
• Periodically inspects work by service team members and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to policies.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates supplies with the Community Manager.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures and supports budget planning for repairs and capital projects.
