Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC in Marietta, GA seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform mechanical work ensuring building, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will handle resident service requests, execute make-ready for new move-ins, and inspect work for quality. Strong safety knowledge and customer service are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in safe use of hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.
• Proficiency with general software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Math skills to handle financial/administrative documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant homes, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and adherence to policy.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policy.
• Assist Community Manager in developing budget for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing where feasible.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure MSDS and OSHA compliance.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to residents and colleagues.
