Job summary

Greystar is seeking an on-site Property Maintenance Technician in Atlanta to preserve the community’s cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality. You will handle work orders, diagnose issues, and perform routine upkeep to support leasing and resident satisfaction.

The role includes making units market-ready, coordinating with vendors, inspecting work, maintaining inventory, and following safety policies. EPA certifications and a valid driver’s license are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in property maintenance.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools; safe use of hand/power tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical skills for basic financial/administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from residents; diagnose and repair defects.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units; schedule vendors and inspect work.
• Develop standards for grounds, exteriors, and unit interiors to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies within budget.
• Complete monthly preventive maintenance procedures.
• Assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting and proper tool usage.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
