Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

The role involves diagnosing defects, completing work orders, performing make-ready tasks for vacants, managing inventories, and assisting in inspections. Strong safety awareness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions are essential.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Makes-ready for vacant apartments including inspections, punch list, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Tracks materials and returns items to storage; notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately to enable proper recordkeeping.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.

Education
