Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager who supports the Community Manager in leasing, marketing, and resident relations. You will help prepare advertising materials, show units, and maintain accurate rental records.

The role involves processing applications, deposits, and coordinating with maintenance and support teams. The successful candidate will have strong English communication, a positive attitude, and familiarity with property management duties.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must have a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Apartment management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents and applicants.
• Qualify prospects and complete applications with deposits.
• Update availability reports and process approvals (credit checks, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Handle rent collections and input information in Yardi.
• Prepare leases and related paperwork.
• Coordinate with maintenance on service requests and open inquiries.
