Job summary

Valiant Residential in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the exterior and common areas daily. You will care for landscaping tools, assist the maintenance team, and help with make-readies as needed.

Requirements include at least one year of full-time related experience, English communication skills, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 30 lbs, and willingness to work on call with extended hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of full-time related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to perform all required tasks and follow safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work on call and extended hours, including weekends.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and on a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property appearance meets Valiant Residential standards at all times.
• Assist the team with community functions and make-readies.
• Pick up litter daily; sweep and blow breezeways.
• Clean areas around dumpsters and vacant apartments; maintain pool areas.
• Water plants, maintain sprinkler systems, and apply insecticides/fertilizers/herbicides as needed.
• Mow, trim, reseed lawns, prune trees/shrubs, and manage drainage.
• Replace breezeway light bulbs and assist in maintenance tasks as directed.
