Job summary

Valiant Residential in Bedford, TX is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain daily exterior appearance and assist the maintenance team. Responsibilities include caring for landscaping tools, cleaning common areas, and supporting make-readies and events.

The role requires attention to safety, reliable transportation, and the ability to work on-site with residents and vendors. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of work safety habits.
• Able to work on call and extended hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure property appearance meets Valiant Residential standards daily.
• Assist team with community events and make-readies.
• Pick up litter daily and sweep/blow breezeways.
• Clean areas around dumpsters and vacant apartments.
• Maintain pool area and assist with pool maintenance.
• Water plants and maintain sprinkler system; apply insecticides/fertilizers/herbicides as needed.
• Mow, trim, reseed, and prune lawns and trees; manage drainage.
