Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a Porter/Gatekeeper to provide the upkeep of the property's common areas and assist with general maintenance needs. This role focuses on cleanliness, safety, and attentive service in a residential setting.

Responsibilities include routine property maintenance, landscaping, pool/spa upkeep, and following SOPs and OSHA standards. On-call work and flexibility for after-hours may be required; a valid driver's license is a must.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and one year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials
• Record of punctuality and dependability, ability to work under pressure of deadlines, and schedule flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend emergencies
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs. as necessary

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and industry standards
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and other property features
• Remove trash and debris from common areas on a continuous basis
• Sweep and remove debris from curbs, parking areas, walkways and stairways as scheduled
• Maintain and repair loose stairwell treads
• Maintain and repair exterior lighting by replacing bulbs and reporting inventory
• Mow lawns, trim planting beds, rake leaves and debris from landscaped areas
• Apply weed and feed to lawns; top seed and water as needed
• Install seasonal plantings, replacement shrubs/trees, decorative rock and water features
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs as directed
• Maintain, adjust and repair irrigation systems and fountains
• Clean pool and spa per manufacturer specs and code
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to pool equipment
• Know emergency procedures and how to engage shutoffs and access to utilities
• Promote safety to limit property loss, damage or injury to residents and visitors
• Keep drainage grilles clear of leaves
• Pressure-wash sidewalks, buildings, pool decks, etc.
• Assist in snow removal as required
• Undertake training related to job duties as deemed necessary
• Maintain required property uniform and professional appearance
