Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper to provide care and maintenance of a property's common areas, indoors and outdoors, with emphasis on safety and cleanliness. This role requires initiative, attention to detail and reliability; duties include landscape upkeep, general repairs, and supporting after-hours/emergency needs at the assigned property.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and one year of lawn/grounds maintenance experience.
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials.
• Record of punctuality and dependability; ability to work under pressure of deadlines; schedule flexibility for after-hours and weekend emergencies.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand 8 hours or longer per day and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Job location is at the assigned property; on-call capacity except during approved PTO periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding maintenance to keep the asset and common areas in good condition.
• Remove trash and debris from common areas continuously.
• Sweep and clean curbs, parking areas, walkways and stairs; maintain stairwell treads.
• Maintain and repair exterior lighting; report inventory as needed.
• Mow lawns, trim planting beds, rake leaves and manage landscaping debris.
• Apply weed control and water as needed; top seed and water areas.
• Install seasonal plantings and decorative features.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs; manage irrigation and fountains.
• Clean pools and spas per manufacturer specifications and maintain pool equipment.
• Know emergency procedures and how to engage water and gas shutoffs and access sewer cleanouts and fuse panels.
• Promote safety awareness to limit property loss and injuries to residents and visitors.
• Maintain required property uniform and present a professional appearance.
