Job summary

Essex-Property-Trust is seeking a Porter to maintain exterior grounds, common areas and clubhouse amenities across one or more properties in Oxnard, CA. You will perform custodial tasks, manage supplies, report hazards, and assist residents while ensuring a safe, clean living environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills. Onsite, five-day workweek with potential weekend coverage; hourly pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Comfortable with basic computer tasks and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, laundry rooms and fitness centers.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and windows/glass surfaces are kept polished.
• Report safety hazards to supervisor or manager.
• Assist residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform seasonal tasks like snow/ice removal and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE usage.
