Job summary

Essex-Property-Trust is seeking a Porter in Los Angeles to maintain exterior areas, common spaces, and landscaping across one or more properties. You will ensure cleanliness, stock supplies, and address safety concerns while interacting with residents in a friendly, professional manner.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

Maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, and landscaping.
Clean and maintain common areas: lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and amenities.
Keep supplies stocked and report safety hazards to supervisors.
Interact with residents in a friendly, professional manner.
Perform seasonal tasks such as snow/ice removal and power washing exterior surfaces.
Follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines; assist with bulk trash removal.
