Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Porter at our Redmond, WA community to maintain grounds, curb appeal, clubhouses and common areas. You will help preserve the asset and provide a quality living environment for residents.

The role is onsite, five days a week, with duties ranging from exterior cleaning and landscaping to seasonal tasks and safety compliance. Prior custodial experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for golf carts use on site.
• Ability to use a smartphone for property apps and basic Microsoft Office tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas and stock supplies.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor or manager.
• Empty trash receptacles and manage bulk trash/recycling.
• Interact with residents professionally and assist as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and leaf blowing.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; report hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
