Job summary

Essex Property Trust in Redmond, WA seeks a Porter to maintain grounds, curb appeal, clubhouse, amenities, and common areas at one or more properties. You will keep exteriors clean, support residents, and perform seasonal tasks while following safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license; prior custodial or maintenance experience is preferred. This is an onsite position with potential for travel between properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; property uses golf carts.
• Ability to use a personal smart device for property apps and basic MS Office tasks.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of exterior areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas, restrooms, and supply stock; clean windows and glass surfaces.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Empty trash receptacles and assist with bulk trash removal and recycling.
• Interact professionally with residents and assist as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards immediately.
• Other duties as assigned.
