Job summary

InTown Suites in Villa Park, IL is seeking a General Manager to lead daily hotel operations and staff. You will oversee front desk, guest services, and financial controls while driving revenue and maintaining budget adherence.

The role requires strong leadership, a focus on service excellence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across maintenance, staffing, and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Read, speak, and write English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read reports and interpret hotel data.
• Mathematical skills for forecasts, revenue, and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency and hotel software familiarity.
• Knowledge of front office operations and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire all property staff.
• Training, development and support of property staff.
• Oversee office operations, guest check-in/out, cash handling and payroll.
• Ensure excellent guest service and prompt issue resolution.
• Develop expertise on computer systems and front office processes.
• Identify and manage maintenance, safety, and capital projects.
• Drive revenue through pricing, budgeting and cost control.
• Monitor market, drive local sales and maintain govt relationships.
