Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a General Manager for its Orange Park, FL property. The GM will oversee daily operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff leadership, ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, revenue management, and operational excellence to deliver a high-quality guest experience and maintain competitive market position.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license and a functioning automobile.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret various reports and internal hotel information.
• Sufficient mathematical skills for forecasts, revenue, occupancy and costs.
• General computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of Front Office operations and service standards.
• Ability to perform multiple front office and related roles as conditions change.
• Clear and effective written and spoken communication.
• Flexibility to work long hours as business demands.
• Ability to organize self and staff and manage tasks under pressure.
• Judgment and problem-solving across front office operations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire all property staff.
• Train, develop and support property staff.
• Manage office operations including guest check-in/out and payroll functions.
• Ensure excellent guest service.
• Develop expertise on computer systems used at the property.
• Identify and manage repair and maintenance issues.
• Identify capital expenditure needs and assist with projects.
• Address life/safety issues and inspections.
• Communicate guest concerns to the Supervisor.
• Maximize financial performance through revenue management and pricing.
• Meet budgets through P&A analysis and cost/inventory control.
• Assist in annual budget preparation.
• Monitor competitors in the market.
• Drive sales through local marketing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities.
• Assist in recruitment and training of other General Managers.
