Job summary

Greystar in Seattle seeks an experienced Business Manager to oversee financial operations for the community, handling rent collection, invoicing, and reporting while assisting in ledger maintenance. The role supports the community manager and contributes to accurate financial management.

You will process invoices, monitor balances, enforce delinquencies, and ensure compliance with lease terms while delivering strong resident service and maintaining robust controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
• Ability to manage accounts payable and rent collection.
• Familiarity with delinquency management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily financial transactions for the community, including posting rents, fees, and payments, and reconciles bank accounts and prepares deposits.
• Reviews resident files and records to identify unpaid balances, notifies residents, and enforces collection procedures to maximize revenue.
• Follows established eviction procedures when required and represents the property in court hearings as needed.
• Processes move-outs, applies deposits and lease fees, and records disposition in accordance with procedures and law.
• Verifies and processes invoices and purchase orders, researches discrepancies, balances ledgers, and issues checks as needed.
