American Family Insurance seeks an experienced claims adjuster in Phoenix to manage property claims from initial report through resolution. You will determine liability, gather information, review coverage, coordinate appraisals, and settle claims.

An Associate Adjuster role may be available for those without strong claims backgrounds. The compensation range is $57,000.00 - $94,000.00, with relocation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories.
• Solid knowledge of casualty policies and endorsements; understanding each phase of claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, and others.
• Evaluates damages and negotiates settlements with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
• Handles 1st party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Interprets policies and applies coverages to assigned losses and communicates status to all parties.
