American Family Insurance is hiring a Property Claims Adjuster to manage claims from initial report through resolution, including liability assessment, information gathering, and settlement negotiations. An Associate Adjuster role is possible for those with limited claims background, offering a development path.

Position Compensation Range: $57,000.00 - $94,000.00. Salary-type pay with relocation support for eligible candidates. Up to 10% travel and catastrophe duty up to 75% may apply.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories.
• Experience handling moderately complex claims.
• Solid knowledge of casualty policies and claim processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigates origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, and others.
• Evaluates damages and negotiates settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Interprets policy coverages and applies them to assigned losses.
• Keeps parties informed with claim status and closes files as appropriate.
