Job summary

FirstService Residential in Highland Beach, FL is hiring a full-time Porter to perform cleaning and maintenance across indoor and outdoor areas of our community. You will inspect work, submit reports to the Supervisor, and ensure safe, sanitary conditions.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and solid customer service and communication skills. Competitive pay is $20 per hour with comprehensive benefits, including 401k matching and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely following procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintains appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters; empties trash.
