Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter to support cleaning projects across properties in the Palm Beach area. The role covers indoor and outdoor duties, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and maintaining high cleanliness standards. A high school diploma is preferred and prior custodial experience is a plus.

You will work full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with Sundays and Mondays off. The position offers full benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions in accordance to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Properly utilizes new equipment and follows safety procedures before use.
• Maintains a friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintains appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports cleaning/maintenance discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Maintains working relationship with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Cleans restrooms: sweeps, mops, refills dispensers, cleans toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, empties trash.
