Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter for our Highland Beach community in Florida. The role involves cleaning, maintenance, and reports to the Supervisor, with duties indoors, outdoors, or mixed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, custodial experience preferred, and strong customer service. The position is full-time with benefits including medical plans, dental and vision, paid holidays, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties (sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, light bulb replacement, window cleaning).
• Inform Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintain cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines.
• Remove trash and assist in emergency cleaning.
• Operate new equipment safely and follow procedures.
• Maintain friendly, professional attitude.
• Monitor sanitary supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspect areas daily and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensure security procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain relationships with building staff.
• Finish and burnish floors as required.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Clean restrooms, replenish dispensers, and sanitize fixtures.
