Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter in West Palm Beach, FL to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across indoor and outdoor areas. You will inspect work, report to the Supervisor, and handle duties ranging from floor care to restocking supplies.

The role may include some weekend work and requires a safety-conscious approach to equipment use. The position offers full benefits as a full-time associate, with opportunities for training and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in custodial work preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows safety procedures.
• Maintains a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ensures sanitary supplies are stocked for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Adheres to security procedures at all times.
• Maintains relationships with building staff.
• Finishes and shines floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes dispensers as needed.
