Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter in Highland Beach, FL to perform cleaning and maintenance duties across indoor and outdoor spaces. The role involves inspecting areas, reporting issues, and completing daily work orders while upholding safety and security procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and custodial experience, with strong communication and customer service skills. Full-time with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial work desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning/maintenance tasks: sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, light bulb replacement, window cleaning.
• Inform Supervisor of supplies needed.
• Store and handle cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Remove trash and assist in emergency cleaning as needed.
• Operate new equipment safely and follow procedures.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude and adequate supply levels.
• Inspect areas daily and report discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensure security procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintain relationships with building staff and complete work orders as scheduled.
• Clean restrooms when applicable: clean fixtures, replenish dispensers, and empty trash.
