Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our community properties in Ventura, CA. You will handle repairs, grounds keeping, and safety checks while ensuring a welcoming, well-maintained environment for residents.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience in apartment or manufactured housing (preferred).
• Snow removal experience (preferred) including plow truck operation.
• General maintenance knowledge across plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to maintain community properties.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation and water systems; read/repair/install water meters if applicable.
• Maintain grounds and ensure curb appeal; supervise contractors as needed.
• Operate community vehicles and equipment safely; be on-call as required.
