Job summary

The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Project Support Specialist to coordinate outreach activities, communicate with trainers and participants, handle registrations, and organize events at the Pickle Research Campus. The role requires travel and some after-hours scheduling to accommodate educators.

Responsibilities include hosting workshops, managing registrations, and tracking program impact and payments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma plus two years of experience in an office or customer-facing role.
  • Experience coordinating in-person and online workshops and events for K-12 educators.
  • Experience with UT Austin procedures for creating and processing requests for agreements, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Proficiency with Asana, Google collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn other tools quickly.
  • Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and work afternoons/evenings/weekends to support learning sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and Host Events
  • Organize and facilitate in-person and virtual workshops, events, and courses for educators.
  • Manage event creation and listings in registration systems, on the website, and in Canvas.
  • Attend in person events as onsite coordinator. Duty requires travel.
