Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products in Elgin, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to provide support to the project lead team, handle administrative tasks, read plans, and assist with pricing and submittals.

You will coordinate with transportation, planning, engineering and sales, communicate order status, and help resolve inquiries while adapting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. SAP experience and Excel proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in an office environment.
• Experience in manufacturing or logistics preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication.
• Comfortable user of Microsoft Excel.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willing to be adaptable & flexible in our ever-changing work environment.
• Experience with SAP or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to project lead team
• Handle administrative tasks for project leads
• Read/interpret plans and drawings
• Determine pricing of products as needed
• Build submittal packets for customers
• Inform team of the status of their orders, advising them of any changes
• Coordinate effectively with transportation, planning, engineering, and sales
• Follow up on inquiries for customer issue resolution and product design; process escalations when needed
• Coordinate with different departments to resolve team's requests in an effective manner
