Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products in Illinois is seeking a Project Lead who serves as the voice of the customer from estimate through on-site delivery. You will coordinate with engineering, approve submittals, schedule production, and ensure smooth communication with customers and vendors on assigned sales orders.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of project management experience in construction or precast concrete.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Civil Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years Project Management experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in construction or precast concrete.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the voice of the customer across projects from estimate to on-site delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, scheduling, and production to meet customer ship dates.
• Lead turnover meetings, review scopes, and ensure complete paperwork and approvals.
• Maintain active customer communication from production schedule through delivery.
• Guide cross-functional teams in engineering, planning, procurement, and transportation.
• Monitor project costs and schedule, escalate and resolve issues to avoid delays.
• Identify process improvements and coordinate site visits with customers as needed.
• Prepare change orders and obtain necessary approvals while managing vendors.
