Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking a Project Lead at our Elgin, IL plant to champion the customer experience from estimate through on-site delivery. You will coordinate with engineering, production, and transportation, ensuring clear scope and timely completion of each order.

The role requires strong PM experience, civil engineering considerations, and proficiency in MS Office, with a focus on communication and organizational excellence across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Civil Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several large to small, complex projects simultaneously.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience within the construction or precast concrete industry.

Responsibilities

• Be the 'voice of the customer' in OI facilities and coordinate with project team.
• Manage multiple sales orders concurrently.
• Hold turnover and kickoff meetings to align scope, estimates, and schedules.
• Serve as main customer/ vendor contact from sale to on-site delivery.
• Provide guidance to engineering, production planning, transportation, procurement and accounting.
• Prepare change order proposals when needed.
• Monitor progress and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems.
• Coordinate site visits and ensure timely issue resolution from sale to completion.
• Manage submittals/approvals with the customer.
